JAIPUR: More Covid-19 patients recovered in comparion to new infections on Wednesday. While 298 persons were found infected, 354 patients recovered. The tally of positive cases rose to 18,312 while the number of recovered patients stood at 14,547.
The casualty count reached 421 with eight more succumbing to the ailment on Wednesday. Three people died in Jaipur taking its toll to 163, while Jodhpur witnessed two fatalities taking the district’s toll to 51. Barmer reported its third Covid-19 death while Sawai Madhopur recorded its seventh fatality. One person from another state also fell prey tothe ailment.
Districts which reported new cases are Alwar (47), Jaipur (42), Pali (27), Pratapgarh (26), Jodhpur (26), Sirohi (16), Bikaner (13), Rajsamand (12), Sikar (10), Dholpur (10), Ajmer (10), Udaipur (10), Kota (8), Jhunjhunu (8), Churu (7), Barmer (5), Sriganganagar (5), Jaisalmer (3), Bharatpur (3), Nagaur (2), Dausa (2), Dungarpur (1), Jalore (1), Karauli (1) and three from other states.
Jaipur has the highest number of active cases at 539, followed by Jodhpur (410), Dholpur (333) and Alwar (237).
In Jaipur, 21 different places reported 42 new cases including Pratap Nagar (4), Purani Vidhansabha (3), Jagatpura (2), Jalupura (2), Khirni Phatak (2) and one each case was reported Vidhadhar Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Tirupati College, Sodala, Meenawala, Gandhi Path, Bais Godam, Shastri Nagar, Ghat Gate, Vaishali Naga and other areas.
